If you run a fleet or vehicle that does not meet Euro 4 standards... typically a petrol or diesel vehicle registered before 2006, then from 23 October 2017, your cars, vans, minibuses, buses, coaches and heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) that travels into central London will need to meet minimum exhaust emission standards. If it does not, you will need to pay a daily £10 Emissions Surcharge (also known as the Toxicity Charge, or T-Charge). This will be in addition to the Congestion Charge and, like the congestion charge, will be managed by number-plate recognition cameras. See https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/emissions-surcharge#on-this-page-2 for more information. The scheme will operate the same hours as congestion charges (Monday to Friday 0700 to 1800). From 23rd October, it will cost £21.50 per day (£107.50) per week to drive such a vehicle in the zone.
